My chicken and spinach quiche
Do you also have a list of those dishes that look complicated but in fact are almost too simple ? I checked pizza, bread and sushi on mine - and now quiche joins this list.
First of all, the hardest part of making a quiche is finding a quiche plate. Once you get hold of one - you're good to go.
Put (store bought) puff pastry into your spanking new quiche plate.
Add some pre-fried chicken (with spicy herbs and dark soy sauce) you can throw some pan-fried onion if you like.
Next goes the spinach (with garlic, salt & pepper), grated hard cheese
and bleu cheese (or any other sharp cheese). Finish with some grated carrot for color.
Now it's time to drown the filling with an egg mixture. Whisk 3 whole eggs and 1-2 egg yolks with 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of double cream - mix half a tea spoon of salt and pepper (each) as a final touch. When the mix is nice and yellowish - pour it into the plate.
Did I mention that you have to pre-heat the oven to about 350°F ? Well, now you know.
Just put the quiche for about 40 minutes and you're done !
Ps. don't freak out when the quiche starts to rise, it's ok - and the blob will drop when you put it out from the oven and leave it for about 7 minutes
There you go, you've just made a quiche - now you can brag about it on facebook - just as I did.

IKEA hacker is a great site - hacking IKEA furniture might be one of my hobbies if I ever decide to have one. But mixing donkey kong and IKEA - that's just plain awesome
